Comprehensive Facilities

Birkenhead Press has a more comprehensive range of plant than many of its competitors. This enables a wide range of work to be completed in-house.

Our origination facilities offer a design service covering all aspects of office stationery, business cards, letterheads, forms, invoices, and much more. Leaflets, brochures, whether single colour or full colour are all in a day's work. Designing and typesetting a book takes a bit longer but it is one of our specialities; we have handled well over a hundred in the last few years.

Our printing factory is equipped to offer the best solutions for a wide range of printing requirements. We don't use a sledgehammer to crack a nut, nor do we attempt the impossible on equipment not up to the job.

Our range of equipment allows us to produce simple single colour work cost effectively even when the runs may be small. However, we really excel in longer runs, printing sheets up to B2 (520mm x 720mm).

As part of our policy of keeping almost all work in-house we also have two letterpress machines, a double crown and a smaller platen which we use for cutting, creasing, perforating and numbering.

Most of what we print we can finish ourselves. Our Finishing Department is well equipped to offer a fast in-house service.

Our recent aquisition of a perfect binding facility allows us to offer a better presentation of reports Annual Accounts and Sales Brochures as well as the paperback books in which we specialise.
